Project 10^100

A few months ago, Google asked the world to submit an idea that would help as many people as possible. They got over 150,000 responses and narrowed down the list to 16 “big ideas” that encompassed the majority of ideas submitted. Now, between Sept. 24 and Oct. 8, we get to vote which one Google will actually do.

1. Drive innovation in public transport

2. Make educational content free online

3. Build real-time, user-reported news service

4. Create more efficient landmine removal programs

5. Build better banking tools for everyone

6. Collect and organize urban data

7. Work toward socially conscious tax policies

8. Encourage positive media depictions of engineers and scientists

9. Enhance science and engineering education

10. Create real-world issue reporting system

11. Promote health monitoring and data analysis

12. Create genocide monitoring and alert system

13. Make government more transparent

14. Provide quality education to African students

15. Help social entrepreneurs drive change
